About me
Meet Nida – counselling psychologist, artist, and proud cat mom (her cat may or may not believe she's the therapist in the house). With over 6 years of experience in counselling and supervision, Nida brings a magical blend of kindness, curiosity, and emotional safety into the therapy room—like a warm cup of chai for the soul.
Her personal experiences with grief, trauma and chronic illness have given her a deep well of empathy, solidarity and insight—plus a radar for those subtle moments where she really listens and makes you feel very seen.
Nida’s therapy style? Its rooted in the principles of social justice which makes her an anti-oppressive, queer-affirmative, anti caste, feminist, neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed therapist.
Think of her as your therapy co-pilot— always open-minded, always evolving, with zero judgment and rooted in genuine care.
She takes a holistic approach grounded in person-centered and narrative therapy, with a mindful awareness.
Her belief? Every person already has the wisdom they need—she’s just here to help you find your way back to it and retrieve agency over your life.
She has worked extensively with queer & neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, and people navigating identity and systemic challenges.
Her blend of qualifications & rich experiece, held in a container of a very collaborative & humane approach that she has in her therapeutic conversations makes her therapy room a warm space to share vulnerabilities.
And as she beautifully puts it:
"To heal is to accept and allow, and to touch with kindness that which we touched with fear."
Her unwavering faith, in goodness of each human being and willingness to fiercely stand by this belief, makes her the hope harbour for anyone cruising through the healing journey
(Her cat sidekick included).
